Short Bio

Roland R. Schreiber is a doctoral researcher working on inter-organizational collaboration, cooperation, and competition in open-source software ecosystems. His research focuses on understanding organizational roles, coordination mechanisms, and influence structures using social network analysis and repository mining techniques. A particular emphasis of his work lies on security-related development and vulnerability coordination in open-source projects. His research has been published in peer-reviewed international journals, including the Journal of Systems and Software and the International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering. He actively supports transparent and reproducible empirical software engineering research through openly available data and replication packages. In addition to his academic work, he is employed in the insurance industry, which informs his interest in large-scale, real-world software ecosystems.

About

I am a doctoral researcher studying inter-organizational collaborations in open-source software ecosystems. My work combines social network analysis, repository mining, and software engineering perspectives, with particular attention to coordination, organizational roles, and security-relevant collaboration.

Research

My research examines collaboration, cooperation, and competition among organizations in open-source software ecosystems, with an emphasis on network structures, coordination mechanisms, and security-relevant development processes.
